The Experience Behind On Poynt Communications
While On Poynt Communications may be a new name on the Atherton Tablelands, the experience behind the business is anything but new.
Meet Jason Poyner, the owner and operator of On Poynt Communications. With over 10 years of experience in the data and communications industry, Jason brings extensive technical knowledge, hands-on expertise and a genuine passion for finding solutions to challenging projects.
Where It All Began
Jason began his communications career with a large commercial communications company in Cairns, where he developed his skills working on a diverse range of specialised and technically demanding projects.
His experience spans everything from installing 30-metre-high communications towers and designing complex radio frequency (RF) communications systems for remote locations, through to wireless communications projects for local councils, remote communities, hydroelectric power plants and wastewater treatment facilities.
Throughout his career, Jason has managed projects from start to finish, overseeing everything from initial planning, system design and project estimating through to installation, troubleshooting, completion and hand over.
Working across such varied environments has exposed Jason to complex technical challenges and unusual faults that many technicians may never encounter, developing his ability to think outside the box and deliver practical, reliable solutions.

One of Jason's greatest strengths is his ability to understand how systems work as a whole, rather than simply focusing on individual components.
His extensive experience in communications infrastructure, system design and troubleshooting allows him to approach projects with a broader perspective.
Whether it's improving connectivity across a rural property, troubleshooting an unreliable network, installing a security system or designing a customised communications solution, Jason draws on his experience to find the right approach for each situation.
His knowledge and capabilities extend well beyond a standard list of services. No two projects are exactly alike, and Jason enjoys the challenge of finding solutions that suit each customer's individual needs.
